Spool Office is composed of two software parts: a CLIENT
you have to install in the PC of every user,
and a SERVER you have to install in the AS/400 (ALA_SPOOL and ALA_TCP library).
In this page it is possible to download the application for a free
trial or update to a new release
and download updated version of the help support and of the PDF
format manuals. |

If it is the first installation or
if you have to update from a previous version to V6 (you
do not have in your
system the ALA_SPOOL6 library yet), you have to download
the following SERVER and CLIENT components. |

SERVER
|
|
|
|
Download the product's SERVER part (ALA_SPOOL6
and ALA_TCP
libraries) to install in the AS/400 from a PC connected
in TCP/IP or SNA.
It holds the installation instructions. |

CLIENT
|
|
|
|
Download the product's CLIENT part to install in every
PC.
It holds the installation instructions.
note: Keep the file you downloaded to install client in other PCs if
it is necessary. |

|
note: If you have to install in a PC
with NT4 without service pack
6 installed, you cannot use the installation standard file.

If you still have not done it or
if you have a not updated version, ask us for the Help
on line version
you need. |

Help on line: Ask us for one of the
two help supports, according to the PC's configuration.
The product includes among its option the selection of the help
type to use. |

|
SpoolOff.chm: Help on line support
to be used in a PC with Microsoft
Explorer installed.
This file must be copied in the same folder as the product. |

|
SpoolOff.zip: Help on line support
to be used in a PC without Microsoft
Explorer and in PDF format. (it needs Acrobat reader).
Unzip the SpoolOff.pdf file and copy it in the
same folder as the product. |

If you still have not done it or
if you have a not updated version, ask us for the manuals of
the product. |

In this page you can download the server/client updating
service pack to the last release supported by Spool Office
5.
The Server service pack of the application (ALA_SPOOL5
library updating), is fast because it holds only
the objects that change from the version already present in your
system.
The Client service pack of the application
consists of the programs.EXE last
version. You have to replace
them to the ones installed in yout PC, to avoid to install them
fully.
Check your updating level in the following way:

SERVER: Activate Spool Office through the command SPOF.
In the product's main screen you'll see
the release. (V.n.n.n).

CLIENT: Activate Spool Office. In the start window
you'll see the release(V.n.n.n). Or by pressing ?
on the menu of the main window and select About...

The SERVER service pack updates
the ALA_SPOOL5 library.
The service pack holds the "SPk-Server.htm
installation" file with the installation directions. |

If you have already installed a
V5 Client version in your PCs, you can update to a new V5 version by
downloading this service pack.
To install a NEW client, download the full version from the downloading
page.
